UniVera Sciences called him a disgruntled distributor I call John Terhune a Servant Leader. John is willing along with Marshall Douglas and Joe Land, and standing up to a company with a long history of abusing their Distributors and saying enough is enough. See Lawsuit Press Release.

Troy’s Truth: What makes this case so different from some of the others is the fact John Terhune is a former Trail Attorney, and is not afraid of a fight. Especially one he knows he can win. Someone at UniVera Sciences should have done some background work!

Like other former Amway Distributor’s Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady, these guys are fed up with companies who while they are building their respective business to “talk to everyone”, “go after everyone”, then when the field leaders get fed up with the abuse, decide to take the business they built to a new home decide to use every means in their power, like termination, holding commission checks, slander, propaganda, Intimidation, Bullying, and Unfair Trade Practices to keep them from talking to their own team members.

Rod Cook aka The MLM Watchdog, and Chairman of the DRA (Distributor Rights Association) came out swinging this week sharing his insight into Buzzirk Wireless.

Like Rod I have received several calls and emails from folks asking for my opinion. Although I have been very open, I have not written on Buzzirk or Global Verge (be the way if you want to see Global Verge’s “buzzirk” site you need to go here) because I knew Rod was working on publishing something.

Before you click over to read Rod’s article I do want to touch on a couple of issues.

1. MLM Due Diligence: This is a must!!! Just because you hear some MLM Big HItter is joining a company, doesn’t mean the company is a real mlm opportunity. Take some time and do your homework.

Just last week I received a call from a company owner, who offered me $50K in stock to becoming 1 of 20 founders. Although the technology behind the company looks solid, I have some huge reservations because of the due diligence I have done.

2. MLM Start-Ups (MLM Pre-launches) Just because a company is in pre-launch or what the business community calls a start-up does not mean, you ould run the other way. You have to remember ALL MLM or Network Marketing type companies were start-ups once.

What I would do is be very cautious about “Pre-Launch MLMs) Yes, some Network Marketing companies will do a “soft launch” with a few leaders. But, in all my years (27 as a distributor, officer and owner) I have never seen any company who hit a billion in cumulative sales do it with smoke and mirrors, and over hyped half trues.

So do your homework and make sure you have all the facts before you jump in over your head.

will give them a crusade they can believe in. One that will allow them to help others while they are changing their lives forever.

Reco & Shanee’ McDaniel, once the shining stars at Josh Henderson’s Lightyear Wireless, have now left for greener pastures. And it wasn’t for Buzzirk Wireless!

I followed Reco’s rise at Lightyear for the last few years, and was very impressed that a leader of such young are, had such a passionate focus. And realized that “Getting Rich” was not all about money and toys, but was 100% about achieving wholeness in every area of your life!

I was sad to hear the Josh Henderson, Lightyear wireless and the McDaniel’s were now in litigation over their former business relationship. But, it did prove to me why every distributor should be a member of the DRA (Distributor Right’s Association.)

We will continue to track the McDaniel’s and their new adventure at MonaVie along with watching the court decision on the allegations they have made against Josh Henderson oporating Lightyear Wireless as a Pyramid Scheme.

And although we see trust broken more often, than in years past, between top money earners and the companies they helped to grow, I still stand firm on my belief that the Direct Marketing Profession is still the best way for the average person to see their dreams come true.

Just remember, it’s not about growing the our primary Network Marketing Company, it’s about Developing the Leaders on our Teams.

MLM Internet Scams, from online shopping malls, to reverse auction companies seem to be attracting some good people who are looking for additional income streams during this current Recession.

Big Co-op Inc dba Ez2Win.Biz, based out of California, was shut down, when Edmond G. Brown, A.G. of California, arrested it’s flamboyant owners.

The California A.G. has taken off the gloves when it comes to cleaning up purported MLM/Network Marketing Pyramid and Ponzi schemes in his state. And he doesn’t care if they are brick and mortar or internet based companies.

And… He has also engaged the support of Attorney Generals in other states who are also taking up the cause of going after these huge income generating pyramid/Ponzi schemes, confiscating their assets. In the case of AdSurf Daily in Florida, over $53 million in liquid and hard assets were confiscated.

And just last month Your travel Biz (YTB) settled with the California AG for $1 million in fines, and they are still facing similar charges in Illinois.

Troy’s Truth: Makes me wonder what will happen when he aims his guns are companies like DubLi Network and Ad View Global Association (The new AdSurf Daily).

It’s not like the company owners have not been in hot water before in Calf. In 2007 they were ordered to DESIST AND REFRAIN from doing business in California.
