Troy Dooly Reverses Decision Placing Global Verge Back On MLM Scam Alert List

Thank you for coming back by to visit. Feel free to leave me a comment on the post you enjoyed the most.

Yes, I am reversing my decision and placing Global Verge back on the MLM Scam Alert List. I was wrong! I have no problem admitting when I feel I’ve had the wool pulled over my eyes. After receiving numerous e-mails, and phone calls asking more questions than answers, we decided to dig a little deeper into some of the events which have transpired since our October 20th post, where we called Global Verge a legitimate MLM company.

Since our past post we have received some very disturbing updates. We also have gone back and listened to three very important Global Verge calls.

The first call was dated September 24, 2009, where Valerie the PR rep for Global Verge makes the following announcement.

Global Verge will be definitively activating the Cell Service in week of October 19th.

The second call dated October 29th. Ted Robbins once again stated “Next Week” we will be launching one of two of the new cell carriers.

And the third call dated November 5th, where Ted and Mark both announced “it will be soon” maybe next week (Yet next week never comes).

So we have gone from DEFINITIVELY launching the cell cervice in the week of October 19th, to who knows when we will launch Buzzirk’s Global Mobile 1 wireless services?

So, after researching several new pieces of information we have come up with a set of questions that ALL Global Verge, Buzzirk Mobile, and Global Mobile 1 reps should be asking. (some of which could show a track record of unethical behavoir on the part of Ted Robbins, Mark Petschel and maybe some of the founding distributors of Universal Tel-Tech, E-Verge, Global Verge, Buzzirk, Global Mobile 1 or whatever other name these folks have operated under.

1. Why didn’t Mark Petschel’s company Universal TelTech get off the ground. Especially since they seem to have attracted over 8600 reps?

“UTT – Universal Tel-Tech – This was supposed to be a revolutionary “high tech” company. They recruited almost all “heavy hitters” in pre-launch, people who wanted to be well positioned when the company launched. They all paid $225 to join, but the company folded before actually launching. 8,600 name, address, phone, (some fax and email).”

Letter From the Founder & President

2. What’s the real Story behind why E-Verge Reps did not get their commissions? Has Ted Robbin’s and Mark Petschel actually filed a lawsuit against Kevin Sipe formerly founder of iGlobal Inc. to recover over $100,000 in purportedly stolen funds or is this just a ploy to keep from paying the former E-Verge reps?

3. Why is the new GlobalMobilei.com website using massive amounts of the same content from ZebraGSM.com website. Does Global Verge or Buzzirk have agreements with Freedom Wireless Corporation owned in part by TMT Capital Corporation? More News

4. Why would an Ethical company tell their reps to have their iPhone customers to “unlock” their iPhone’s” aka “jailbraking”when this will void the iPhone warranty of the iPhone and may be seen as an illegal act? Example 1 Example 2 Example 3

5. Why is Global Verge suing Zer01 Mobile, instead of Buzzirk Mobile? The Global Verge Distributors were told all agreements were between Buzzirk and Zer01, and GLobal Verge had marketing agreements with Buzzirk. This was one of the big reasons given for Zer01 compaining about Global Verge reps being out of compliance. Review Complaint

It is because of these outstanding questions, I have decided I was wrong and premature to move Global Verge from the MLM Scam Alert Category, and have instructed the team to move them back until future notice.

I still believe in the Global Verge distributors. However, I can’t take a chance someone will read my October 20th post and join a company with unethical motives.

With close to 10,000 activations in a week, and climbing, and many fantastic testimonies, we must be doing something right.!
Concerned – How's that for documentation on how the service is working? If they were so 'desparate' to put something together, they would have launched along time ago!! There's something to be said for 'All great things take time".
Troy, I understand what you're thinking about the retail stores. However, look at it this way. I have a customer that is a 'touch and feel' kind of customer. I tell them to walk into one off our stores and I have a rapport with them. Are they going to go in there and say I referred them. More likely than not. Might we lose some, yes, but, in the long run, we have another satisfied customer and our company is growing in leaps and bounds. With a program that other Providers are envy of, afraid of, that just means there's enough to go around. I'm not scared, I'm THRILLED!!
Again, thank you for your fairest reply, I will keep you all posted.
    Make it a Blessed Day

      Excited,

When you mention 10,000 activations, can you spit out how many were from end users, not part of the compensation plan .vs the ones which are form inside the compensation plan?

You are correct, I am concerned about the "retail stores", but, you do make a great point.

      • Excited says:

Yes, Troy. I don't have the actual breakdown, however, I do know that there were MORE retail
        sales than Associate sales!!

        • troydooly says:

          Excited,

I guess you have a point, since there was a merger with Activation King Wireless….

          • Concerned says:

How is that the case? They haven't allowed the distributors to retail the product yet. Only the reps can buy it, they can't sell it to anyone else. Excited, how did GV sell "More Retail Sales" than associate sales, when the associates aren't even allowed to sell it yet to end users?

I could be wrong on this, but that's what some other posters have put on here, that they weren't able to sell retail yet. If I'm wrong, my apologies.

  2. This is a Joke says:

Chris tell me why you put me on page plus cellular for 40.00 instead of the plan i paid for .Total BS

Please if you have service with global mobile 1 , please dial *(star) 611, and find out your true provider.

  3. crawdadz says:

The emails and calls are trying to stress that people would rather buy from someone they know. Pure CaCa. I know I wouldn't have many friends/acquaintances left if I sold them something they found out a week later they could have gotten it cheaper at Walmart. My good friend had the fortune of getting in early and getting some heavy hitters under him and has a huge downstream. I was so excited and motivated (my first MLM experience). I even gave a couple of the presentations before the collapse of Buzzirk. What a huge disappointment. My friend is still trying to hang in there and get things rolling, but I just can't think it can grow anymore with the pricing as it is.

I have learned a great deal about people in MLM. Some great, many scumballs looking for the next pitch to their friends, and many like me just seeing something that looked potentially life changing crumble before their eyes.

This has for sure, at the least, been one Epic Adventure

  4. crawdadz says:

    All aside,

People can now go down to Walmart and get Unlimited Talk and Texting for $45(no activation fee), through Straight Talk. Why would people buy a $49.99 plan that has a $34.99 Activation fee. I have been sitting hoping to coast and see hope for this, but know it is not to be. They are selling VoIP for literally the same price as Vonage without the proven track record.

    • Excited says:

Just to clarify the facts. Walmarts' prices are not inclusive of taxes and fees. Call Straight Talk yourself, don't take my word for it. Activation is $14.99 and the VOIP product is $14.99 or $20.99, which is less than Vonage.
Honestly, Vonage didn't have a track record when they launched either, but they have many customers, don't they?.

      Jim,

I guess I am missing the connection. I read the press release and it gives credit to "we are pleased to acknowledge the significant contributions of Anderson Taylor, who has provided the software client application for the VoX Windows Mobile phone. " Not to Zer01.

Then I went to http://www.Pervasip.com website and saw where they had not updated their site since before July of 2009. Then I went to http://www.voxcorp.net/partners.shtml and Zer01 is not mentioned period as a partner.

Then I went to http://www.Zer01mobile.com and did not see any new Press Release showing they have launched anything yet.

Can you provide some documentation to show Zer01 has anything to do with this?

I am in the cell phone biz if it help you to believe me.

    • Mad AS HEll says:

      I messed up the figures

That means 40.00 profit to split. 40- 14 to sales rep, leaves 26.

      26- 6 pool leaves 20

20.00 somebody is keeping or splitting with activation king wireless.

not to mention 14.99 for activation that they get to split.

This is correct is my break down of commission on highest plan they sale.

  7. MAD AS HELL says:

they are selling PAge Plus Cellular service , unlimited talk & text, and 20 MB of data, as their best plan for 80.00. saying it has unlimited talk +text +internet. for you all that don't know internet for all 4 majors carries have capped the data @ 5 GIG. even if it is prepaid, postpaid whatever. there is not a True Unlimited Data plan out yet. which is what GM1 was boasting about with Zer01. they are nothing more than a dealer under a master agent . this so called launch is nothing but the launch of a simple website to capture the info. that they process manually through activation king wireless(master agent) for CDMA side that I know so far. they are charging 80.00 for a plan Page Plus Cellular only charges 40.00 dollars for.

No wonder they can pay such healthy commissions. Think the figures. 80 charge- 40.00 actual cost.

That means 40.00 profit to split. 40- 14 to sales rep, leaves 26.

    26-4 pool leaves 22

22.00 somebody is keeping or splitting with activation king wireless.

not to mention 14.99 for activation that they get to split.

They don't have to a pay fee for every customer they run like they say they do.

  8. MAD AS HELL says:

The CDMA side of the Network is through PAGE PLUS, anybody that activates a phone, all you have to do once you our on the service is DIAL * 611 , and the service provider's automated systems comes on.

and the plan @80.00 is not what they claim. it is page plus unlimited talk and text, with 20MB of data.

i talk to customer service rep, and that is what she told me i feel very frustrated right now.

    • gomobile says:

Mad please tell us more details. We have been Baited and Switched. Just not what they have been talking about.

      • MAD AS HELL says:

Like i stated below they are nothing more than a dealer under a master agent( hint) activation king wireless). i would imagine activation king is every body under the unlimited talk+text+20mb
data plan. hell why not page plus cellular plan is only 40.00. you get only unlimited voice with GM1 for 40.00. they still get to make a commission with activation and a residual from the 40.00 to pay out with.TOTAL Hyped BS. now they have a 1000's of little worker ants to peddle their bandwagon snake juice. one of a kind opportunity(not for the e-associates), but for higher up the food chain in this retail/MLM first time ever pie in the sky. they will get a huge chunk of the prepaid market. if their allowed to promote this cell service falsley.

    This is from Cautious 57

The thing that got me started thinking about this was an email a few weeks ago that was sent around. The subject was recruiting. The email said that if you teach people to recruit, they will recruit and build a business. But if you teach them to sell, they will sell and that is "small thinking". The next comment was "We are not her to peddle cell phones but to build a business and change people's lives". Can you believe that comment but doesn't it all start to fit?

It's not about changing the lives of the masses but the lives of a few privileged at the top. It's all about who you can use, not who you can help. That's also why they don't demand answers from Petchell and Robbins. They know what they have before them and they don't care how they get their money.

      Mike,

The Global Mobile 1 site has been up for a week. However, it is not anything close to what they promoted through out the summer when they were having a recruiting frenzy. This is one of the most blatant bait and switches I have ever seen.

I am hoping to have a conversation with the founder of Activation King Wireless the company who seems to have merged, take control of, or some how is running the wireless side of things in the next week to get a better understanding of what they are doing.

However, as of now, GV aka Global Mobile 1 is just one of a dozen companies promoting the same services.

Ruth isn't going to go anywhere, she has been with them for years.

      • Excited says:

        Troy,

It may seem as though it is the same to the blind eye, however, here are some facts and differences. First of all, they didn't just throw VOIP (mud) at the wall to see what stuck. These are NOT just VOIP phones which most companies are promoting. There is a Certification process that has to happen before we can even start Retailing to the consumer. This will be done in Two Phases; For the Associates and for the individual that chooses to open a Retail outlet, all to stay in line with the contractual agreements. We operate on ALL networks, not just one, and also offer technologies that noone else has. They've married MLM and retail, and noone has done that either. Maybe only Avon, and that's just recently. Just thought I would bring you up to date. Make it a Great Day.

      GoMobile,

It sure seems like a lot of work to order the phone or service. Maybe in the next version everything will be automatic. Guess they still need to hire customer service and tech support before they go live. I mean really live.

This brings up some thoughts of the old days when I was with A.L. Williams. Back then the Insurance agents would tell out prospects… "They're part-time MLMers", what do they know about your insurance needs?"

I wonder if the cell phone industry is going to start saying the same kind of things… "What do these MLMer know about wireless communications?"

You are joking right? This is the process people have to go through to get this service? I'm sorry but I don't see this as being legit. From the looks of things this Activation King company may have some very illegal operations going on. I wonder how long before they get a call from AT&T regarding the illegal use of the iPhone with Activation King Sim cards. Uh Oh!

      • troydooly says:

        Concerned,

I'm just wondering, what is going to happen if they have billing issues, like they have with the distributor side of things. I wuld hate to order a sim card, give them my card, then find out they over charged me, or worse yet, did not change my monthly renewal, and I lost my number.

How does all that work with these prepaid phones?

And you are right, if Global Verge thought they had issues with Zer01, just wait till Apple finds out a company and their distributors are promoting how to "Jailbraking" the iPhone.

Good thing the GV money is offshore.

        • Concerned MLMer says:

          Troy,

I'm still amazed at the caliber of people drinking this kool-aid. A lot of these Triple Diamonds were former Excel top earners. I think what has happened is they rode Excel into the ground and Excel was their first success/love in the MLM industry. I think they were hurt by what happened to them and they've been trying to find something that would make them "believe" again in the industry. The problem (IMO) is that they have become so desperate to find something that they are drinking the sand – if you know what I mean.

The sad reality is that they are pulling A LOT of good people into a very unstable situation. I've always said that I love new technology and new innovation. I'm in a competing company and I always welcomed the Zer01 technology (even they I knew it wasn't possible to pull off). I love new services out on the market because if one company can do it then others can too so I say "Bring it on!" However, my caution to people was never about the technology – it was about the corporate infrastructure (or lack there of) on the part of Global Verge. It's GLOBAL VERGE that is responsible for paying the MLM commissions. It's GLOBAL VERGE that is responsible for support, accounting, billing, shipping, etc. And judging by the past actions of Mark and Ted you have SERIOUS reason to be concerned.

I wish you Global Verge die hards the best of luck!

I would love the opportunity to chat with you. Not just about the GV/AKW issues, but about the industry itself. Send me some contact info offline at TroyDooly@MLMHelpDesk.com.

Now, in reviewing what you have written publicly, I do have a few questions.

            1. Did AKW merge with GV or Buzzirk aka Global Mobile 1, or did one of the Global Verge companies merge with you? You stated you are the President of AKW, but I am not sure if that is current or past with some type of merger.

            2. Not sure what you are referring when you state "other scams" The only MLM wireless company we are getting ready to report on which may be a scam is ProxyComm.

            3. Chris with all due respect, I have read several report of the hundreds of thousands of customers you have, and your nationwide stores. But in looking at your website http://www.ActivationKingWireless.com I and many others find this hard to believe. In business image is everything, and the image I see from the aforementioned site sucks, to be point blank. Do you have a legitimate site, or can you explain why your site, looks like something from the 1996?

Again, I am not trying to be disrespectful, I am just making a clear observation.

Activation King? Are you guys Really this silly? Activatation King is just a very zealous Global Verge distributor along with his downline. Are you folks really this gullible????

    • troydooly says:

      BigFan,

You have me rolling. I had a friend of mine at Scam.com shoot me an email to see what you wrote over there, and I must say you are making your rounds.

First of all Chris Greco is anything but an "very zealous Global Verge distributor." Chris is part of the training team of Global Group, one of the most successful leags in the company. Frank and Bud do not allow just anyone to be trainers. Nor will those two promote "wantabe zealous distributors."

Chris who's company is based out of Orlando with retail shops in several different states, was just in NY promoting GV http://www.ggcalendar.com/helios//events/index.ph...

But, let's say you are correct. You are wanting us to believe Global Verge allows this type of information to be live, after telling reps for months, the reason Zer01 terminated the partnership is because of rouge websites like this one?

Why does it state "Global Verge now part of Activation King Wireless, instead of Activation King Wireless, now part of Global Verge? the means are completely different. Kind of like "The dog bit Jack" is different than "Jack bit the dog." Same words different meaning.

  24. BigFan says:

Let's see… 45 people yesterday, 17 today. Well, not actually 17… 14 who did and 3 who say they're going to. And out of the 45 yesterday 30 of them ordered SIMS, 10 of the remainder opted to Port their numbers- 5 went to Wally World, bought a pre-paid Verizon phone and activated online. All of them called me on their new GM1 service and said they were completely stoked. Of the 45 yesterday, 27 of them were GV distributors and the rest are customers. Of the 17 today, 10 are distributors, the remainder customers. Now- for the important part: For customers I'm making $14.00/mo (because they ALL signed up for the $79 plan). I don't expect this to really take off before Monday though.
Any questions? shoot me an email and I'll hook you up.

    • troydooly says:

      BigFan,

So what you are saying is… 27 are active GV distributors, and the others are former distributors who are double checking to see if things are working before they reactivate?

Seriously, I am glad after a three to five year roller coaster ride, Ted and Mark have opened up the site for at least a few days. However, there are still several unanswered questions.

      1. Who handles customer service?
      2. Who handles tech support?
      3. Why does the majority of the site plagiarize http://www.ZebraGSM.com? Does GL or Buzzirk have a strategic relationship with Zebra's parent company?
      4. Why does the company compete against its distributors with "Nationwide Stores.?

I really would like solid answers.

    • Bob says:

Cool! I have my new GM1 Phone up and running!

      • fact from dealer says:

dial *611 , and tell me who your real provider is Bob.

Hell i take you payment and submitted to them for you the (real prepaid provider)for that extra money GV is splitting with Activation King that you don't know about.

        • troydooly says:

          fact from dealer,

I want to make sure I fully understand… If I have any phone and hit *611 then the support team which answers the phone is the true carrier that my account belongs?

In other words I hit *611 on a Lightyear wireless phone and it is answered by the lightyear tech support center. However, if I dial *611 on a Global Mobile 1 phone, and I hear Soprano's discount wireless support, then they are the true carrier.

It doesn't matter what the name is on the phone, what matters is the company at the end of the *611 call?

          • fact from dealer says:

            this is correct ?

          • fact from dealer says:

Call your cell phone carrier. Dial 611 from your cell phone to reach customer service. who ever picks up is the true provider , carrier, flavor of the day you want to call them.

activation king and GV have a partnership going with this cell prepaid plans they are peddling.

i got a phone on cdma side and when you dial their #646, it tell you to enter your number, and then it tells you you are not a verizon customer ,dial *611 for your provider. it says thank you for calling page plus cellular.

waiting on sim card I ordered 2 weeks ago so i can activate sim to find out who they are using for GSM side.

Nobody that has a sim card from them will say what provider they get when they dial *611.

            So i'm still waiting.

  25. Stephen says:

As an inactive GV/Buzzirk distributor, I continue to get corporate updates and watch and listen to everything that is distributed. Since their foray into the mobile space, we all know that matters have not run smoothly, many GV Distributors were bitterly disappointed and move to other companies involved in the distribution of mobile phones. While there is reason for speculation, I’m not one who desires to see the company (or any MLM company) bashed because it has been slow to deliver what may have been stated – if only because they are bound by FCC regulations.

Long ago, I adopted a wait and see attitude. While they launched service this week, I have not jumped back in because I want to know more about the service, domestically and globally, I believe GV is on the right track and I’m willing to be patient until it is fully operational and compliant and would hope that others would also be objective and not engage in unverified negative comments about this or any MLM company. Any MLM company that does not successfully establish itself casts a cloud over our entire industry.

Far too many of us see the glass as half empty rather than half full. Patience is a virtue and they have had much to endure after the debacle with Zer01. They are making progress – give them 30 days from this day forward to fully implement the mobile service.

in the interim, here is the latest post:
    Hello e-Associates,
Yes, Its true! Global Mobile 1 has launched!

There will be much more to come over the next few weeks.

Verizon: How Much Do You Charge
    Published: November 12, 2009
Starting next week, Verizon will double the early-termination fee for smartphones. That is, if you get a BlackBerry, Android or similar phone from Verizon, and you decide to switch phones before your two-year contract is up, you'll be socked with a $350 penalty (it used to be $175).

  27. gomobile says:

Please tell us who is going to give up their working Verizon phone number and pay their early cancellation fee to get a Globalverge number that might and might not work. Who are you going to trust?? It is too bad they have nothing original just a silly reseller. Good luck. Did you see the activationking website fixed the punctuation and spelling errors today??? Still looks like a childs website.

  28. It's launched says:

Yes they launched. Right now if you have a GSM phone (ATT&T or Sprint) you can order a sim card and change your service. If you have a CDMA phone (Verizon or T-Mobile) you can have your service switched. They will port your number from where ever you are coming from. The time that takes depends on your current carrier. I just switched a verizon phone that was supposedly "locked" by verizon and it works fine. All you need is the ESM number from the back of your phone and you can have new service turned on right now. I hope this helps.

    • troydooly says:

      It's launched,

Let me get this straight. You have a locked phone (well maybe it was locked), but as soon as your switched it worked? Does than mean you have two numbers coming into one phone, or a new number, and the old one doesn't work any longer?

      • It's launched says:

Yes, as soon as I switched it worked. It used to say Verizon on startup and now it says globalmobile etc. I got a new number because it can take a few days for verizon to allow the port. I still have my number with verizon. I want to make sure this new service works as well or better then what I had. Once I test it for a few days and I'm satisfied I'll cancel service with verizon and port my number. Make sense? Not sure if this helps but I have a blackberry storm and was told it was locked by verizon. So to say that I personally knew if my phone was or was not locked I have no idea, just basing it on what they (verizon) told me.

        • troydooly says:

          It's Launched,

Please keep us posted on the service, and how the porting goes. Although, I've been hard on Global Verge, I do want to know that distributors are getting a great service now that it has launched.

        • ConcernedMLMer says:

          ?????????????????????

How is it possible to have two phone numbers ringing to the same ESN on a phone?????

Something is a little fishy here.

    • Alan says:

GSM is AT&T & T-mobile. CDMA is Verizon

  29. TeminatedGvRep says:

So what is the deal? they launched? there is competition everywhere you go. Should i get in? or stay out?

  30. Concerned says:

Looks like they launched last night. I checked out a distributor's website, and it was asking for order information. Anyone know the news? I'm not ready clap yet, as I'm sure there is plenty we still don't know.

    • troydooly says:

      Concerned,

Not only did they launch, they did exactly what I thought they would do… They are competing against the distributor base.

They now have "Stores Nationwide" This may have to do with Activation King Wireless buying into Global Verge. Check out this link… http://www.activationkingwireless.com/your-local-...

I guess this is why the GV leadership kept talking about outlets in shopping malls.

      • Concerned says:

Wow, who built that exciting, state-of-the-art website? lol. That's the worst looking site i've ever seen. However Troy, that is rather deceptive of them to do that.

My main concern is this. Who is providing this tier 2 provider, Activation King Wireless, with their service? Are they wholesale for Verizon, Sprint, ATT, TMobile? Why can't someone display some credible evidence on how the service is working. With all the questions surrounding, not on the the past behavior or Petschel and Robbins, but the debacle that has been Global Verge, one would think that some credible documentation could be produced. I went to their website for ordering, and it looks like it was done via Microsoft Frontpage. They are asking for Credit Card info on a form that is not secure, and it certainly isn't going into a billing system. Looks like they are taking the info and then manually sending out a SIM card, and you still buy a phone.

      • Concerned says:

Who is charging the credit card every month? Where is the customer service located? Where is the tech support if there are problems? Via what actual network is the service being delivered? It MUST be one of the main 4 to have nationwide coverage, and if so, lets see some documentation. I would hate to refer customers, just to find out my program has been hacking some service. Think that's far fetched? Not after the junk these guys have been pulling for so long.

My take on this is, after Petschel and Robbins saw that their heads were on the chopping block from the failed launch… again… they have been so desperate to put together a wireless product, any wireless product, that they forgot (or turned a blind eye) to a very shady provider, and completely overlooked the service portion of the product on an on-going basis. Time will only tell.

        • momof2 says:

I activated my phone in 5 minutes and it has worked flawlessly all day. the activation voice sounds as though it's Verizon. So now I am paying $79 per month instead of $149 with Verizon. Looks like someone is helping a single working mother during a time where every dollar counts. My fee to cancel my contract was $50 from Verizon, So I am basically ahead $20 from the first minute my service was activated. And I have a STORM!! If it fails, I have a lot of choices, in the meantime I'm going to use my extra $70 a month to put towards my sons college fund! Go GlobalVerge!

          • troydooly says:

            Momof2,

Congrats!!!!… Now as long as GV doesn't compete against their reps with their new nationwide chain of phone stores, things might workout. However, one day is a long way from success.

          • ConcernedMLMer says:

I'm curious, if they just started taking orders for Sim Cards yesterday how did you get it so fast?

Also, Verizon phones don't have Sim Cards so how did you activate a Verizon phone?

      • Concerned says:

The question still remains, what about the zebragsm issue? If they aren't partnered with zebragsm, then they've done one heck of a job plagerizing their site. Or, is Activation King Wireless a dealer for zebragsm, thus making Global Verge and distributor for Activation King? A reseller of a reseller of a reseller? Did I get that right?

There are still WAY more questions than answers. I'd be surprised if those SIM cards are sent to those ordering in a timely fashion.

      • Excited says:

That's right, gentleman. That is not to compete with the Distributors, if you were listening to
ALL the calls. That simply helps us. If I happen to have a customer or associate that wants to touch and feel the product, I can send them to the physical location. Lot's of credibility.

        • troydooly says:

          Excited,

What are we missing? The site is very clear "Our nationwide stores" How does this help distributors? If there is not a nationwide chain of stores, then this is a bait and switch and completely unethical. If there are nationwide stores, then it is direct competition with distributors.

According to GV news equity partner Activation Kind Wireless, there is a nationwide chain of stores!

It can be called credibility. Tupperware and Watkins called it the same thing when they added their products to Target and Wal-Mart stores. Guess what? The distributors started earning less, because the customers went to these stores and bought product.

Please explain what happens when a potential customer walks into a Global Mobile 1 store or other retail outlet. Is the store owner going to ask "how did you learn about us? WHo is your GV rep? I really don't think so. They are going to sell them a phone, port their number, and thank them for their business.

Let me ask another question. Are the stores part of the comp plan? If so, then how are the average distributors ever going to compete for bonus money? The stores in more cases than not will our produce the distributors.

Yes, I know some will talk about the law of large numbers, and how when a distributor focuses on recruiting they will have more outlets. All viable responses.

I'll keep my mind open, however history has proven this does not work. Sprint tried this in the 90s, when they launched. They used Network2000 out of K.C. as they MLM branch. However, at the same time they tested retail sales also. they opened a handful of stores, and signed an exclusive with Radio Shack to market the new cutting edge PCS digital phones.

Today, there is no Network2000, and Sprint store and Radio Shacks are still selling the phones.

I sure hope you are right.

  31. Unbelievable says:

Global Mobile 1 looks like it is a brand which already exists with a dealer network in place according to the Activation King website? Looks like the product is already for sale by many dealers in Florida. Whats going on here thought GV created their own brand and was the MVNO who is delayed because they are trying to get the phones to say Global Mobile1 when they turn on?

Both the GV Global Moble 1 website and Activation King website just recently went up in late October?

More Deception? One of these companies Activation King or GV is spinning a story … why can't they just come forward with the truth if they are short money. I am sure distributors would help out …. or is there a bigger issue.

Can we say Koolaide!!! I feel so sad for the ladies who had a good reputation before this have destroyed their names forever. They know who they are.

    • candice says:

I saw what happened Global Verge Global Mobile 1 Has bought in to a relatively new MVNO on the GSM and CDMA side the owners name is chris, he was on that call the company agreed to rebrand themselves Global Mobile 1 their name was ACTIVATION KING WIRELESS, and the have about 209,000 customers in florida and georgia on the cdma side and just launched thier gsm MVNO on the 18th, So global verge has bought into a percentage of this company, have heard nothing but good reviews on activaqtion king wireless, I just hope they know what they are partnering with in global verge. I googled them they are all over craigslist, and they have thier own phones and global mobile wants thier logo on those thats the hold up, this is coming from some one at gv thats dealing with activation king wireless everyday.

      • troydooly says:

        Candice,

I personally find this very interesting. Let's look at a few important points.

        1. If 209,000 customers signed up with Activation King Wireless http://www.activationkingwireless.com/news-and-pr... then they are about as dumb as a box of rocks. This website makes Liberty International's look great.

        2. According to the http://www.activationkingwireless.com/news-and-pr... website, Global Mobile 1 is part of Activation King Wireless, not the other way around.

        3. Let me ask a question. How can a company attract 209,000 customers in less than 30-days and not attract any alexa ranking? Here is why I ask.

We also learn that whoever owns this domain, also owns 62,000 others. Now another interesting point is the registry company has two locations, one in the USA and one in South Africa. This reasies another question… Where is this company located?

And, since the servers are located in Canada and the company is in Florida, I have to wonder why type of scam might be taking place.

        4. I am not sure being all over craigslist is a good things. Craigslist.com is also known for allowing prostitutes to offer their services also.

    Hello e-Associates,

It has been a very long weekend here at Corporate. As you know we have been expecting to have our GlobalMobile1 site up so that you and your customers can begin placing orders for service. Obviously the site is still not active.
I wanted to give you an update so that you would know exactly where we are. There are two things that have been holding us up:
    1. A transaction key is required in order to activate our merchant account for the site.
    2. We have been programming the codes that activate each of the six plans that you and your customers will be able to purchase from the CDMA/GSM site. This is a very complicated process and has taken longer than expected. .
Another complication is that we got to this point during the weekend and our vendors are not open on the weekend. Our plan is to have all merchant and programming issues resolved today. Then we will test and tweak our sites on Tuesday. We expect to announce on our Tuesday night call that we are live.

    Sincerely,

    Ted Robbins, President
    Global Verge

  35. Troy,
I'm a former GV rep. Since mid-July, I have looked at EVERY MLM Wireless company.
Lightyear is solid but definitely not a viable retail product. No smartphones for their Prepaid Sprint plan (which is why I originally found Buzzirk attractive), and no Unltd Intl plan. FDI- Well, you covered that one already.

WOW Mobile- Although I am now a Wow Mobile rep, I am not actively marketing the service. They continue to make updates for the tech side of things that have continuously improved the service, but there are still coverage issues (a result of the carrier they chose). Once they switch networks and have the coverage issue solved, I will feel totally comfortable marketing retail. All the people I have recruited and continue to recruit are FULLY aware of the positives and negatives of the Beta version of Wow Mobile. The refer 3, it's FREE idea is awesome and will IMO make Wow the king.

    Your MLM brother,
    Mike

    • troydooly says:

      WOW Mobile Mike,

Great post. I think you hit it on the head, when you share how you keep everything transparent and let your new team members know you are still in the beta phase.

This is how it should always be done during pre-launches and launches of new technologies. Being with a company who is on the cutting edge of anything is exciting.

      Living An Epic Adventure,

      Troy

    • Concerned MLMer says:

      Wow Mobile Mike,

You might want to take another look at Lightyear. They will have 4 smart phones for their Pre-paid plan very soon (HTC Hero, Blackberry Curve, Blackberry Tour, and others: http://www.livehuddle.com/event/client.php?event_...

Also, you are incorrect, Lightyear does have an unlimited plan: Unlimited Calling, Text, AND Data for $59.99 a month! Crystal clear 3G/4G nationwide network! No hype, no hoops, no wifi/fake wireless, just real high quality wireless service at an affordable price!

And Lightyear also offers the ability to earn FREE wireless credits to pay your bill with and/or share them with customers! For every 2 reps you refer you get $50 off your bill!

Hope that clears things up for you!

      • Concerned says:

I think he was saying Lightyear doesn't have an unlimited INTERNATIONAL plan. They don't, but if you read the fine print from all these other companies that boast about it, you'll see that they don't really either. What I like about Lightyear, is they aren't sensationalizing their service to make it more than it really is. No hype. There are cheaper deals out there, but their pricing is competitive, and they've done everything they said they would do, and I have to say, the compensation plan is lucrative. The one thing they can say that no one else can say, they have a viable product, at a competitive price, and they take care of their reps, and produce everything they say they will.

        • Concerned MLMer says:

One thing I find interesting is that all this hype has been creating around price but when you actually look at the plans companies like GV and WOW say they offer/will offer they really aren't as low as everyone thinks. And is price the most important thing? Maybe to some but take a step back and look at the big picture. AT&T and Verizon have around 150 million to 160 million customers between them and neither has an unlimited everything plan for under $100 yet they keep their customer base. My opinion is that today's wireless customers is more concerned about call quality and reliability of service. As more people today use their cell phone as their main source of communication it is vital that their service offer the best quality as possible.

That's why you see companies like AT&T and Verizon grabbing a majority of the market. There is a small sector for the poor credit people who are going to companies like MetroPCS/Cricket. These will be the same types attracted to the WOW product. From what I hear (since you can't even order a phone from their website and test it out) their call quality is terrible. That's probably because it relies 100% on VOIP. Having used VOIP for 6 years now I can tell you that it is NOT as reliable as people think – especially over a mobile broadband/wifi connection!

This is why I see companies like Verizon and AT&T coming out ahead in the long run because they have the ability to provide the best quality for their customer because they have the best technology. I believe you get what you pay for and while I do think we'll see some lowering of cost by the big boys to create a nice balance, I don't think it's going as low as people think. JMO.

          • @_emay says:

Crickett uses Verizon's towers and from what I'm hearing Verizon is not doing as well as you think. All major carriers are hurting which is the reason they are dropping prices. Tmobile currently offers unlimited voice and text for 49.99. Now with that being said if a person has a smartphone they have to pay two prices phone service plus data so unlimited phone 49.99 unlimited data 24.99 added together $75 plus fees………TeleVerus unlimited mobile voip with 3g data plan $59.99 you do the math $75 plus fees or $59.99 and that includes wireless internet text messaging and mobile voip the whole nine unlimited everything.

  36. The truth is GV/Buzzirk/zer01

Have left a trail of destruction in its wake with ever jo blow coming out with wifi/mobile service a bunch of copy cats saying there phones are like what buzzirk didnt have lol. NO real stable products in telecom as far as a new cutting edge product. Most phones already have wifi calling and let me asked you I have a $400 smart phone that has wifi calling and i dont even use the feature. I had my tasted of a mlm wireless company and I am done.

I just watch this comedy channel for a good laugh and tears to see good people following a sad company that is not going to give you a good part time income or a full time income unless you are a heavy hitter that likes getting innocent people new to mlm into the lastest greatest scam.

I thought mlm industry was to help people reach there financial goals not wasted time and money oh by the way 2010 is right around the corner and we wasted time with GV.

    • Kerry,

I can speak from experience that there ARE some really great leaders still in MLM. They are hard to find, but just like Troy, there are some good ethical people in the industry that really do know what it means to be an great leader.

I'm sorry for your experience. I share your pain and frustration, and i wish the collective pain could be reciprocated upon the inflictors. Its even more sick IMO how there are people that have been a part of GV since June and have SEEN all the destruction and deceit, yet continue to convince their teams to stay because they're getting pretty little checks still. They are just as bad as the GV Jefes.

  37. Mike says:

By the way, I appreciate what you are doing, but I hope you are wrong again about this company for the sake of all the people putting in a lot of hardwork to make this happen.

In regards to the commission payouts, they have released the breakdown and the majority of the commission does go to the seller….ie on a $59.00 unlimited plan with data,,,,,Total commission equals $12.00/ month…..$8.40 to the seller and 3.60 into upline compensation
I believe 1.80 is divided out among 9 levels so that would be .20 / rep through 9 levels….the remaining 1.80 would be broken down among people in the upline at each pin level….first upline diamond, double diamond, triple diamond, etc.

    • troydooly says:

      Mike,

I always hope I am wrong in these situations. I would rather see company owners keep the distributor's welfare formost in their minds. Sadly it doesn't happen as much as it should. I am glad to see they are rewarding the seller. This will drive personal volume into the program. However, they need to open the sales to the general public, because based on limited attrition numbers I have seen, they will not make it just selling and reselling to the field. They are not bringing in new distributors at a high enough rate.

Please keep us posted. People need to see both sides of this debate on a regular basis.

      Living An Epic Adventure,

    • Harry Rouzeau says:

Mike, I understand what you mean about commission, BUT what good is there that you are defending commission structure and payout to the distributors if the company does not release the PRE-PAID MOBILE PRODUCT. What does VOIP or Water Machine or Power Safe or POST PAID has to do with anything. By the time Global Mobile rolls out they PRE_PAID products you would not be able to compete in the market place because of company has launch their services. Let's look at ICC communication launching their service now and offering the products, payplan, and even the opportunity that Global Verge is suppose to launch and those guys are selling the products already with working phone, service and commission. Even Simple Mobile has launch an unlimited Talk for $ 39:99 on the GSM Network. Buzzirk or Global Mobile is just looking to suck the monthly membership fees to pay back their investors and the owners of the company and some top distributors that are with the company.

      • nononsense says:

fees to pay back their investors and the owners of the company and some top distributors that are with the company.

        Sounds like MLM to me.

    • Zeke Hanzl says:

Oh come on, Mike. They have done nothing, zero, to give confidence in their willingness or ability to run a viable operation. Their individual historys are horrible, apparently frought with apparent scams among other sleaze. Furthermore your use of the term "putting in a lot of hardwork" is almost a direct from their content and fact free conference calls. It's garbage.

  38. Wireless 101: The American public will not pay any monthly autoship $39.95 + $59.95 + mo… tot over $100-120+ mo, when they can go to http://www.wow-mobile-phone.com and get it all for FREE (after refer 3)….No monthly Phone Bill EVER ! NO Autoship/fees Scam…like we see here. (That is 401k money! it adds up) Get Unlimited data (no cap) on a VOIP phone, FREE Wi-Fi tether to Computers saving more money !..VOIP is were tech is going, WOW has Clear Wi-Max 3 = FREE too!…were Data can be moved @ 4g Speeds, Video Phones etc. These other companies will not last when prices for Wireless fall and their products are already expensive & outdated…Also GV Opt out ! stop your Autoship ! Stop them ripping you off !…Join WOW Mobile and smile over turkey…don't be one!

  39. Global Talk Smart launch has not been a soap opera. Customer service seems to be working. Now,can not argue that the mobile launch is like a soap.success2u

    • troydooly says:

      Buzzirk Bryan,

Respectfully, WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING? Changing the name and rebranding does not make it any less of a soap opera. Time will tell how it works out, but I have to stand by the statement this is better than a soap opera. Although, it could run a close second to Dukes of Hazzards.

    • SoapOperaOscarWinner says:

To all the new kool aide drinkers…this is the worst company launch in history…why would you even want to be a part of it ?, when other good company's are at your feet, You all need MLM Counseling, to handle your hurts, pain, and addiction to kool aide…get therapy…the only one making money is global group doing the hot air tour with a 15-20k downline…they are making residuals off the kool aide kids…were is the next poney show ?…Troy perhaps you should go and check out the next kool aide cult jamboree ?

  40. • troydooly says:

      I'm Gettin Free,

This is one of the points I keep trying to get through to folks. So far most of the MLM Wireless companies are not SAVING the end user any money. Which means these companies are not offering a product or service which can sustain itself in the general public.

However, if GV is turning their distributors into "Retail Dealers" and allowing them to open retail outlets in shopping malls (especially during the Christmas season), then personal sales could be good.

      • ConcernedMLMer says:

        Troy,

I really think you need to contact someone at Lightyear Wireless. They have had the ability for their reps to earn FREE wireless credits since they launched their wireless in July of 2008. For every 2 reps you refer you get $50 off your bill! Refer 4 = $100, 6 = $150, $8 = $200.

Lightyear is also the only company that actually has a solid wireless infrastructure (200 employees, 80,000 square foot facility, experienced telecom leadership, etc).

        • troydooly says:

The post will be up this next week.

          • Exbuzzrep says:

One problem, WOW Mobile has terrible service. Horrendous . Ask any WOW rep, Are you calling me from my wow phone? Answwer will be ..well no i haven't ported the # yet or some lame excuse about updates. Phone never rang and occasionally called out even when connected wifi!

Problem with you guys is you keep saying dont focus on product as much as the business plan and making money. It always make great money get it for FREE. Never we have crystal clear service, it works better then this one or that one. Always a hype filled quick money attention grabbing statement. Never , by the way our customer service is closed on weekends. or dosent answer the phone until you actually call 5 times and stay on hold for 20 min. never hear that do ya. Well that is what WOW is, I experienced it first hand, been there done that. save your time and money just stick with your current carrier. Let me guess Troy you havent gotten your phone yet? lol

        • nononsense says:

          yeah well,
I can't say I've heard too many good things about lightyear from another person who's been in the telecom industry for 17 years.
          And he's not pitching.

  41. Concerned MLMer says:

    Troy,

Take a closer look at Televerus. If you notice on the many Traverus/Televerus blogs out there they have yet to launch their product and their own CEO is quoted as saying he's "embarrassed" about the whole thing.

Looks like another scapegoat for the Global Verge scammers! Can't wait to see what new name they launch their next "revolutionary" wireless product when this latest attempt fades into the background.

You're right, this really is like a soap opera.

    • Casper says:

Hmmm, I wonder why?….Anyone remember the name Steve Lewis? Stay away.

    • @_emay says:

Concerned MLMer were you on the call when David Manning made that statement and what he was referring to? I'm guessing not, I was. There are a lot of changes taking place within TraVerus that are coming to fruition. David's statement of being embarrassed had nothing to do with TeleVerus but with our new program not being ready when promised. As for TeleVerus, I happen to have my TeleVerus phone as I type it's an Nokia E63 and we also offer Nokia E71 unlocked GSM phones which you can order today from any agent's website. Another thing you are wrong on, we are our own carrier, we as agents are paid monthly everytime a customer pays us meaning TeleVerus for service. You see we as agents are given wholesale pricing on all of our products and the consumer pays retail and we as agents are paid 90% of the difference. For example using TeleVerus in this example if a customer purchases a mobile voip product, everytime they pay the monthly bill the agent is paid 90% of the difference between the wholesale and retail prices up front. But that's not all you see that customers monthly usage also generates BV that flows thorugh our 3d compensation plan. It would be best if you got your facts straight before speaking on something you know nothing about.

  42. troydooly says:

    Concerned MLMer,

I have Lightyear down for next week. I have been in contact with several of their top leaders and have pulled our research. They have weathered some storms and come out rocking.

  43. Concerned MLMer says:

Boy, I sure hope they aren't using this ZebraGSM. Info on their "potential product" goes back to November of 2008. A year later and they don't even have the ability to order from their website.

Actually, come to think of it, this sounds like the perfect fit for Global Verge!

    • troydooly says:

      Concerned MLMer,

If they truly are using ZebraGDM, then they are using the same service as TeleVerus seems to be using. Which I find funny, since I have been told Steve Lewis the former CEO of GV is now with TeleVerus.

This is better than any soap opera coming out of New York or Hollywood.

  44. Casper says:

    Troy,

I understand you will be able to use the service with an iPhone that is locked or unlocked, so this should take care of that concern.

    • troydooly says:

      Casper,

This brings up an interesting point. iPhones can connect to wifi services so the Global Verge GSM network might work with an iPhone. But… This would mean the person who owns the iPhone would need to add to their monthly cell service costs. And since right now ALL cell services at GV are only available to "Dealers" the iPhone owner would also need to join the company.

Now seriously, if you are already paying around $100 per month for your iPhone service with AT&T why would you want to add the additional costs?

      Living An Epic Adventure,

      Troy

  45. Rod says:

I doubt it will be FDI. They are bleeding reps. The problem with FDII is that the plan and the technology are complicated and the GICell phone itself is a 3 year-old outdated model. There is a total absense of customer service. The addition of FDII has hurt rather than helped FDI. If people are mainly interested in selling telecom there are much better choices, as you are forced to pay for FDI's other expensive services in order to access the telecom products. Some key FDI reps are looking for greener pastures and a large number of reps have already left because of disappointment over the direction FDI has taken. I think there was a major lack of due diligence in their deal with Kuba. They seem to have purchased some prime "swampland in Florida". (No offense to your home State!)

  46. Concerned MLMer says:

Don't forget about Lightyear Wireless Troy! They are the ONLY MLM company that actually owns their own wireless customer. They provision, support, and bill actual wireless customers. They are also the only company paying real monthly commissions on actual WIRELESS phone bills. They are also the only TRUE MVNO Wireless MLM company. All the others (WOW, FDI, etc) are doing WiFi/VOIP knock off plans on top of other carriers wireless service. Lightyear is backed by a 16 year old telecommunications company. They have an 80,000 square foot facility, 200+ employees, and their CEO is the chairman of Comptel (http://www.comptel.org).

On top of all that Lightyear offers unlimited calling, text, and data on a top CDMA network for $59.99 a month. No contracts, no credit checks.

If you ask me, not one of these pretender companies come close to being able to offer the complete package Lightyear does.

    • @_emay says:

Concerned MLMer were you on the call when David Manning made that statement and what he was referring to? I'm guessing not, I was. There are a lot of changes taking place within TraVerus that are coming to fruition. David's statement of being embarrassed had nothing to do with TeleVerus but with our new program (TraVerus Outlet Stores) not being ready when promised to reps (we missed the Nov. 1 launch date). As for TeleVerus we offer an unlimited everything plan text data mobile voip with wifi calling where available on top of a major UTMS network for $59.99 a month no credit checks.

    • I'm a bit confused…You, Concerned MLMer, must have a lot of time on your hands. I've been scrolling thru Troy Dooly's posts the past couple of days only because of my involvement with WOW Mobile, and I see you have posted numerous comments yourself . Here's where i have an issue with you…3 weeks ago you stated that you are an advocate of the MLM industry and have no agenda with any other MLM company. You like protecting people from MLM scams. But on several occasions (like the one above) you tout the hell out of Lightyear Wireless. Now, who are you crapping?? My first reply yesterday (even thou I was only guessing) was dead on. I had guessed you were with another MLM phone company by the tone of your comments. If you are a rep with Lightyear say so. That's why my name is Proud Liberty Rep. If you are not associated with Lightyear, than what the hell are you wasting your time on this web. Oh, excuse me, I forgot…you like to express your thought for the good of Man Kind! Time to get a life!

      • troydooly says:

        Proud Liberty Rep,

I know you are not talking to me directly, but I want to state, I understand where you are coming from. When a perosn loves what they do, and have no hidden agenda, then they should not fear hiding behind pen names.

Even when I disagree with a person's stance on an issue, I respect them more when they share who they are.

Thank you for coming and checking out our community.

P.S. Although I am with an MLM in a very tight and small niche, I am retiring from actively building come 2010, so there will be no question of conflict of interest.

I agree Lightyear Rocks!! great company great leaders!

  47. Rod says:

Have you looked at the new Televerus website? It's another clone of the Zebra site. Are all these folks dipping into the same bucket?
    Rod

    • troydooly says:

      Rod,

Sadly, it looks like several of the companies are using the same Tier 2 carrier for their back-end services. This could really make for a great show down as the end of the year rolls end.

By the time this is over, we may see WOW or FDI take the lead in this MLM Wireless War. We are going back over the orginal players and looking at some new ones to get folks up to date.

      • Mike says:

The bad thing, in my opinion, about WOW and liberty international is the binary payout. Granted they have a product available for purchase, but for the rep…..I am not sure this is a win-win situation.

        • troydooly says:

          Mike,

          • Wow Mobile binery has 8 legs wide !!!, pay's tripple at the top with the big boy pack, pays 100% to unlimited levels on everyone, now again 100% on everyone to unlimited levels, you cant pay any more than that!…(80% back to the reps, don't forget the charity http://www.libertykidz.org ), this software is documented and proven to pay more money in the shortest period of time than any other program in network marketing history "proven"…combine that with refer 3 get it free, now your customers are building your team to get FREE…Who is going to quit FREE? its like a Ferarri running on jet fuel.. "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!" Fool me three times…Damn, that must be some good kool-aid!

    • I think you will find it an excellant kool-aid when all the sugar finally gets blended in. Good things come to those who are patient. It takes time to put together the intricate parts of a SOLID business. Have you ever noticed that when something is about to change the traditional way of doing something that is is almost always attacked; People as a whole do not like change, that is my belief as to why people are posting things that they really don't have ALL the information on to make an INTELLIGENT Decision. Stay tuned to see the final results. If you are looking for a home in network marketing, it is my belief that this home will be built of stone and will be standing when all else is not. Have a Terrific Day!

      • troydooly says:

        Juanitta,

I truly hope you are right. However, how long does it take? this has been going on in one form or another since the 1990s, and thousands of distributors who paid good money to join, recruiting others into the game, have never seen a product or service yet. Not only that, some distributors never were paid their commissions.

Do you think it is fair, to keep launching new companies, not paying the distributors form the old company, and pretend it was ALWAYS someone else who causes the problems? Leadership 101… Give your team the credit for the success, and YOU the leader take responsibilities for the failures.

You make a great point about CHANGE. However, have you ever noticed, when change is about to take place inside the tech arena, one of the big boys buy the company with the idea and makes it their own? have you done the research to see NONE of this is new? And, have you read the Acceptable use Policies of the carrier you are using?

The myth you quote about "people not liking change" is not correct. If that was true, President Obama would not be in office today. People don't mind change as long as there is a legitimate reason to change.

I'm still having an issue, with understanding why people will want to pay additional money above and beyond their current wireless bill, to be a part of some new service? And on top of that, may have to pay a monthly membership fee with an MLM company also.

People are looking for ways to cut their monthly cash outlay, not at to it.

      • Concerned says:

Juanitta, how long do you suggest everyone wait? 5 years? Because that's about how long Petschel and Co. have been pulling this garbage, Biz Buzz, the Everge, and now going on over a quarter of the year with Global Verge. And by the way, EXACTLY what is "about to change the traditional way of doing something?" What is GV offering that's so revolutionary? There simply isn't anything there. While you've been waiting, others have been building businesses elsewhere, and making serious money.

        • christos says:

          Jaunitta

please go shove your head in an oven! your a scab that needs to be removed. Stop peddling your BS here. Most likely you are working for GV to help keep the scam going! Scum of the earth stealing peoples money. Taking their soul. Like the grim reaper of MLM. You will go to hell like the rest of the GV crue. Damn you!!!!

Troy they let their trademark for global verge lapse from march 13th – sept 1st…info i obtained from US trademark and patent office tess system…its public record. WOW !

  50. I just checked the two coverage maps and they are not the same. Maybe they changed it in response to your comments.

    • troydooly says:

      Chuck,

The GSM maps when placed inside of PhotoSHop and made transparent, then slid on top of the other, are just about as close as you can get. Personally I don't care about just the maps. I care about honest answers to all questions.

When the same thing keeps happening over and over, there is an issue.

    • The two maps represent two different types of coverage GSM and CDMA. There are alot of coverage areas that do have the same service area, and there are also some of the same areas that do not have service. If you look at ATT site u will see one of the maps, If you look at T-Mobile u will see the other. The technology at Global verge will work in either coverage area. I believe if u will continue to monitor the global verge site you will see that it will emerge not only as a viable Network Marketing Company, but also as a full telecommunications carrier. Their Voip Program is currently up and enrolling very pleased users. I believe in Global Verge and think that EVERYONE should either get involved or wait and see what the end results are before you put them down.

      • troydooly says:

        Juanitta,

The GSM maps form both sites are what we are referring. And, I find it funny, no one has questioned any of the other pages. We either have plagiarism or a strategic partnership.

If it's plagiarism, then it's wrong. If it's a strategic partnership, then time will tell on whether TeleVarus or Global Verge has the better compensation plan. And, right now my vote would be with TeleVerus.

This coming week, I will be doing deep post on WOW/Liberty International. And, it should be made clear to folks, in my original post, I did not say much pro or negative about these companies. My concern was on the founder Randy Jeffers. Having invested in connecting with Randy, I can say listening to him share about the rise and fall of Destiny has given me more info to share.

Stay tuned to the new post. We will cover several issues surrounding there history and future.

  52. troydooly says:

    ExBuzzRep,

Great comment. But it brings up a question.

    1. Hasn't WOW made it clear, they are still in Beta (which is why they are not seeling to the general public yet), and weekly, and sometimes daily are bringing out technical updates?

Now like you I want a product or service I can believe in. But when a company beta tests live with their field force there are bound to be issues. As a matter of fact I am leading a beta test program with my company right now, and daily we are updating the website, changing pricing and adding new marketing collateral for our beta team.

The question we should be asking is… Which company(s) will truly have anything unique that is not already available through one of the international carriers?

As you and I both know, if people are not focused on the products, then they will not realize someone else has already providing a product in our niche.

As for my phone… Stop peaking in my mailbox :) It is due in this week…

  53. Concerned MLMer says:

That's because WOW operates as a "Virtual Company"! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is MLM code for "we don't have any money and can't afford a real office and real employees." WOW is a complete joke. What kind of MLM company doesn't even allow an outside customer to place a retail order on their rep's website? Instead you have to pay a $25 fee, contact a rep, place the order through them (so the WOW rep has to have a credit card processing machine) then you have buy your own phone. They don't even supply real wireless service, it's just VOIP. If you want wireless you STILL have to go to an actual wireless company. All smoke and mirrors.

  54. WOW's in Beta Testing, the phone has many 3g network upgrades and is good phone , Liberty Intl has "many" top VOIP engineers as well as google engineers, we get upgrades every 2 days!. The data transfer is blazing fast, Wi-Fi range is Huge !, Sorry you left !. WOW Mobile ARE the leaders in Mobile VOIP . ALL mobile phones will be DATA calls very soon…data is were the phone market is going. Its all Data in Japan. So while you throw rocks at Liberty Intl doing ground breaking technological advances that other carriers will be saying how can we do that ?..it will take them years and millions…they have already missed the boat ! ( that why the big 4 are coming to WOW …google as well) and know it too!. With refer 3 get it FREE plan Liberty Intl is company is designed to be stream lined, cost efficient company, wait till the price drops for service next year (read: Nov Forbes mag) and your all squeezed out of the market with your non VOIP phone ( & high overhead / Prices ) that won't download, transfer larger files. WOW is the birth of the next Giant, and they have the tech to prove it…now go laugh at majic jack…same deal…except the big 4 don't know how to do VOIP on mobile at all !. WOW is the MLM Wireless company of the next decade (offering FREE) with the fast VOIP data technology, and google collecting it. google want your data. Information is King !, not your cdma/3g phone they are all now obsolete, and so is any mlm company pushing them. Now 4g is coming video phones, and hand held computers. Please order your funeral arrangements for mlm wireless( cdma/3g) company's & phones, that are not going to VOIP on mobile…while we tweak to perfection…your becoming a fossil. Its time to call your Teams and advise the big dog is on the porch…are you hanging ?. Troy take a look at the Mobile Wireless future. Its VOIP & data !

  55. troydooly says:

    Concerned MLMer,

You make a valid point. And in more cases than not, I think you hit it on the head. However, we are now in the 21 century, and Tim Farriss wrote a book called "The Four Hour Workweek" where he shares how he runs a virtual business cash flowing millions a year. Liberty has been in business close to 10 years as a Virtual company, and they have never missed a commission payment.

On the other hand we both know of companies with offices, who miss commission payments. Look what happened to Local Ad Link. Backed by a multi-million dollar parent company, and still missed commission payments. Had to sell to ZuVita. GV, not only missed commission payments as a Virtual company, they missed and are still missing commissions with an office.

Of course in that situation, I am sure it is ALL the commission software, that is causing the problems.

  56. Concerned says:

I believe you are wrong about Cricket. Can you please point us to some type of documentation supporting what you just said? MetroPCS has their own towers, and I would assume Cricket probably does too in their limited areas. Also, profits for major carriers might be down a bit, but they are not hurting. Verizon has 80 Million customers, easily dwarfing everyone else. Wow's offering sounds good, if you compare price alone. People want quality, wich VoIP over mobile data is far off. The point is, there are lots of cheaper deals out there, but for whatever reason, ATT and Verizon still have the most customers, and they still charge more. There are plenty of companies offering the same price, including Boost Mobile, for $50. They have no where near the customers of Verizon, Sprint, ATT or TMobile.

Maybe she went to a Global Mobile 1 Retail store?

  58. Excited says:

No, actually, she did it right online. We have BOTH GSM and CDMA plans and networks. Not everything is a Sim Card. Do your homework.
HMMMM, maybe GV does have something here???

Troy, Why are you so negative and condescending?? I know what you meant by your comment, so why?? Are you pulling for another company? Let's face it, no one here is a pro in Telecomm. So you all going to post like you know more than the experts. Give GV a break!! First, they were a SCAM, then they were never going to launch and now that they launched, you STILL want to find something to pick away at!!! Now I see where you are really coming from.

Happy Thanksgiving and Make it a Blessed Day!

  59. troydooly says:

    Excited,

I hit every link and they all worked. Can you give me specific ones you are talking about?

I agree somethings on websites change when a company is launching or when they launch a new product. However, in this case let's slow down and think this through to find out how long we must wait.

    1. This project in some form or another started back in the late 90s. It really got some wind three years ago. Then in June of this year it hit critical mass, and just this month they make a site live for the third time in three years. How long must we wait?

    2. Global Verge/Buzzirk has always used HYPE to promote their wireless product, then when their partners get pissed, they change the creative and blame the distributors for being out of compliance. (Read any of the past posts.)

    3. This company is not just openning their doors. By now these guys should know what is right and what is wrong. What they can write and what they can't.

And yes, I do give companies room for growth. WHich is why we have not posted on ProxyComm yet. But when a company has tenure and still keep screwing distributors past and present, my blood starts to boil.

My frustrations are the same I had back in June. And the funny thing about it all, is my frustrations for the most part are the same Zer01 publically said they had with Buzzirk/Global Verge.

Excited, I want you to succeed. I just don't want to see you put all this energy in to building a great team, then have the rug pulled out from under you!

As you noticed, I have not posted a new post, because we are watching to see what happens.

However, I can tell you, when a company states on their website, and their strategic partner posts on their website about "nationwide stores" this is seen as the company competing against their distributors. In marketing we call it a "split test." See where the majority of the net income is rolling and use that model.

    I'll relax through Thanksgiving… Maybe :)

As always thank you for coming by and posting. You are a vital part of this community.

    Excited,

There is no doubt, so folks will see comments or post as negative, when it goes against their ideology.

However, if I came across condescending, please accept this as my personal and public apology. I'm sure not an expert at telecommunication, and have made that fact very clear over the last few months. Although, I may now know more than most sales reps for the big four. :)

I think you know very well I am not pulling for any company. I do have more faith in some than I do others because of their tenure in telecommunications.

As for posting as if I know more than the experts, I do not think I have ever done that. However, after doing research with the experts, I have posted specific data. If I have failed to link to the reference please let me know what I specifically said which sounds like I know more, and I will link to the reference point.

Excited, I do want to make one point very clear. Global Verge DID NOT LAUNCH WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE LAUNCHING! In my book that is a scam. They used the same excuse they have used for years. HYPE everyone to join our cutting edge, never before seen telecommunication service.

What is being marketed by every other pitching telecommunications. I know GV is suing Zer01, (for $10K) but, based on the amount of Goodwill, lost market share, and most of all the potential of lost commissions from the field, the lawsuit should be for millions.

So, until GV puts their distributors first, and come up with the cutting edge, never before seen, patent pending, telecommunication platform they promised, I'll more than likely continue to hound their trail.

Why isn't GV suing Zer01 for the company, on behalf of their distributors? Think of where you would be if you have the technology promised?

So, yes I hold a strong opinion, and set the benchmarks high for the distributors. If that is wrong, so be it! Distributors ALWAYS deserve to win! And I am sick and tired of seeing this great profession slammed by outsiders because most of us are not willing to stand for something.

If we continue to be PC (politically Correct) when distributors and/or companies are not doing things right, then we can expect the government to step in and "fix it" for us.

Again, if I was condescending, please accept my apology. You are a blessing to this community and to Global Verge. Your inside look is a great balance to those of us who just can't see what you see.

    Living An Epic Adventure,

    Troy

  61. Excited says:

    Hi Troy,

Although I wasn't asking for an apology, I totally respect the fact that you posted one. I'm just asking for fairness.

The fact of the matter is, Ted and Mark could have just put their head in the sand and gave up after the Zer01 episode of not being able to deliver the technology that Ben Piilani promised!! They DIDN'T do that.
For the sake of the Distributors, they totally turned things around and worked tirelessly to bring this company to the forefront and deliver MORE than we would have had with Zer01. So for that, I'm thankful and I know I speak for ALL the Associates.

I can not wait to hear Chris's story. Why did he finish his signature with globalmobile1?? I thought he was the president of Activationking?? Do he know the history and how Gv scamed so many people. Took money with no product. Took money and did not pay commissions for months. Took money long after people had cancelled. The LIES are way too many to post here. I really hope Chris did some homework. Why have soo many others said no to them?? Anyway can not wait to hear what he has to say.

  63. Michelle says:

I must agree with you Troy. Thank you for pointing out the obvious. But for those that are not internet, website, or business saavy– this is definitely information and precautions they need know.__ __I also have checked this website (www.activationkingwireless) and see this is one of those Templates for Purchase websites. Easy to design, easy to upload images and documents. And to add, business saavy folks do know that font type and color is vital to business! (image or view) — This site has large & bright red font on how to contact someone via email. Hard to believe any President would approve and launch this. But, I do also see that Chris is the person to email if your "interested in signing up". ____Also, the site is not secured (like Verifone stamp of approval) — yet they have a box for your credit card payments only. What about other pertinent information needed to run credit cards? This site just asks for the type of credit card and credit card number.. Wow, unbelievable. __This is beyond a low-grade website, its down right insulting. ____–Michelle____

  64. troydooly says:

    GoMobile,

I am looking forward to chatting with Chris. I hope he is like some of the others, and listened to a great story and fell for it. I would hate to think he is part of it. Hope he got some cash or assets to back up the merger, and it was not done in just Stock. If so, he may find himself in some major legal issues. I am starting to hear some talk about a class action lawsuit.

  65. gomobile says:

You can sign me up for the class action as I was scamed and baited and switched. Someone has to put this company where it belongs.

  67. troydooly says:

    Excited,

I agree fairness should be shown at all times. I do have strong opinions on this issue, because I have seen so many folks already hurt through what I see as a lack of leadership and lack of transparency.

It is through distributors such as yourself who give me hope Global Verge may still pull something off.

And as I have said it the past you are truly appreciated and vital part of this community.

  68. troydooly says:

    Concerned,

I thought about this myself. I am under the same impression as you, GV is not selling to end users outside of the compensation plan. However, with that said. If they did merge with Activation King Wireless, then they may be using the AKW customer base as their own to do their best at keeping the FTC off their backs.

    Time will tell.

  69. Excited says:

There were more retail sales than Membership sales is all I was saying

  70. Concerned says:

Yes, and if that's the numbers they are using because of AKW, then that is as misleading as everything else. First, I don't believe for a second that AKW activated 10,000 cell phones anyway. If GV did, which I highly doubt, but if they did, it had to be all reps, no retail, since they aren't allowing the reps to sell yet. Even if that 10,000 number is true, and it was AKW activations total with all of their retail locations and the GV rep base, then Excited's data would mean that no more than around 5,000 activations have taken place at GV, and it's at most half of AKW's new customers, meaning AKW isn't the "BIG PLAYER" these guys are hyping.

  71. Guest says:

ON the 21st last month GV went live threw AK. I think it was the 28th when they disabled then buy now button on peopeles replicated websites. When it was reactivated around the 1st or so is when the post went up stating reps needed to get trained first and only GV reps could get service until after the training. So for that week or so is when al the retail sales exploded until GV stiffled the growth assumably to get organized to handle it or to train for some reason or both.

  72. Excited says:

What I was referring to is, Retail Sales outdid Membership Sales. Simple
