I have had the chance to see Orrin Woodward speak, and if anyone is questioning this mans integrity, it is not something to question. Check out his blog, he lives his life as a person of character and built up his organization based on building communities through strong personal relationships not solely on selling products. Woodward and the Team are revolutionizing the industry by systematizing personal growth applied to a business model which creates income. If you are in question of his character check out his Leadership blog and credential, he is ranked by several sources as part of the top 25 leadership gurus in the world. This being outside of the networking industry, he provides leadership training that is applicable to all aspect of life.

It is easy to pick on the a company like MonaVie who has the number 1 product in food and beverage as well as ranked 3rd overall in revenue for the year. When someone is on top everyone else looks for a way to try to knock you down.

Ray,

I respect your response and insight into this topic. And I am a fellow believer in the capitalist way of life. However, when a company pays upfront cash to get a person to move from one company to another, exactly what are they paying for?

Just because the person attracted a few personally sponsored into the former company does not mean they can do it again. Based on this issue, as a stock holder in the new company I am not sure I would want my profits being paid to an individual who had a good run with a former company. And here is why.

1. If the person can be bought once they can be bought again. Maybe before a profit is made from the upfront investment.
2. Not only are we paying for the new "Big Gun", but we will now have to pay our attorneys to fight one or more legal battles filed by the former company.
3. The masses can't duplicate this process, so the money story of the past, is not the real money story at the new company.

I do understand where you are coming from with the "worship like faith", except isn't that exactly what the propaganda is from ALL companies? And isn't it this "Brand worship" that has allowed such companies as Starbucks, Budweiser, Victoria's Secret, Coke, Fox News, Ford and others to dominate in their niches? Isn't that also part of capitalism?

I love the exchange in thoughts.

Never Give Up,

I am not sure to call companies that pay proven people money to move over unethical. I honestly don't believe that is unethical, I think it is putting a capitalist flair to the network marketing arena. Some distributors have a religous based faith in a particular product and see those that do other products as heathens or something like that and those that detract to go to other companies as terrible people but all mlm's are business, period. Unfortunately, this is just like sports, when your favorite player goes to another team, it stinks, but, it happens, you don't say a sports team is unethical for paying a player to leave a sports team, why is MLM so different?

I just think having worship like faith in any product, that is simply a capitalist project, is a little much. I love the product I deal in but that doesn't mean I don't have eyes to see new opportunities if they make sense. I don't believe the founders of ANY of these companies are prophets or should be scrutinized in anyway other than business owners.

I have to agree that when someone provides value and builds a solid team then people will come looking and when they offer you something that you can't refuse then that's just business.

People have to understand that it's not the person on stage that matters as it's YOU that matters. You make it happen, you make it work and you make YOUR future and not the person on stage in the red power tie.
