Who in your MLM downline deserves your time and energy? You might be surprised by the answer to this one.
Believe it or not, most people have never been exposed to network marketing at all. So, with new people joining our profession every day, you could think that most of your time should be spent training and working with them. Maybe, maybe not.
On the other hand, you may be fortunate to sponsor someone with years of experience in network marketing. So, you say to yourself, Joe or Mary know what to do, they won’t need much help from me. Maybe, maybe not.
The indisputable fact of this, or any business, is that fully 80% of your revenues are going to come from 20% of your people. You could be fortunate enough to have someone who takes to it like a duck to water. You would probably just want to stay out of their way. In truth, you still need to help them. Remember, a large portion of your earnings is likely to come from their team. In addition, there will most likely be ‘emerging leaders’ on that team, who could use you assistance as well.
So, does that mean that you work with the experienced, and not the newbies? No, because you always make a case by case determination. You want to work with the people on your team who are keeping you busy. By busy, I mean those who are seeking your assistance with prospecting, follow-ups, and closes. Whether it is in their warm market or from leads, they are the ones who are bringing you in, either face to face, or on three-way calls with prospects. That, is revenue-producing time.
Folks who only call with product or administrative questions, need your time too. Do your best to see to them on training and conference calls.
In summary: those who deserve your time have two qualities:
1. You don’t have to chase them, they chase you.
2. They are involving you in revenue producing activity.
Work with those who have earned your time, not those who need it, and everyone will prosper!
